Old, Boring T-Shirts: What Can I Do With Them?

I saved so many of my shirts from going to concerts, vacations, summer camps, etc. because I wanted to make a sweet t-shirt quilt one day. So far, that hasn’t really happened. However, I do recommend an AMAZING book if you do want to make a t-shirt quilt. It is extremely easy to understand for beginner quilters like myself, and is really interesting! It’s called: The Extraordinary T-Shirt Quilt: A Scrapbook You Can Sleep Under by Lauren Kingsland. You can pick up the book for as low as $15.50! Pretty sweet.

Oh yeah – and I have the biggest collection of BORING shirts. They have basically been sitting in my closet unworn for years. Something MUST BE DONE… and SOON!

Bottle Caps: What Can I Do With Them?

I started collecting Coke bottle caps to enter in points on MyCokeRewards.com, and planned to just throw them in the recycling bin after I did. Just as I was about to, I stopped to wonder if there was anything awesomely crafty that I could do with them. I am SO HAPPY that I didn’t throw ‘em out – I’ve been wanting to try working with resin for a long time, and these bottle caps make adorable gifts of all kinds! I could go on FOREVER with these ideas and tutorials. Bottle caps appear to be very popular among crafting, and for a good reason! SO many things that you can do with all sorts of caps. I hope this has inspired you! It’s for SURE inspired me. So much so, that I don’t even know where to start! So many good ideas!!!
