MY STRUGGLE To Find The Right Wedding Dress Pattern!

I’m getting married in August of next year.

So… I gotta pick a pattern for my wedding dress. I’m making it myself. The thing is – I can’t find the “perfect” one.. There’s something I hate about every one I find, but I’ve come down to these:

  • I like the back part with the buttons, but I think the bottom part is too plain and I hate the weird veil. I refuse to wear a veil! I do NOT like them. As for the top, I’m unsure of how it will actually look, so I am still pondering it:

  • Simple, but still not the one:

  • I kinda like this one, but I’m thinking the bottom part is TOO dressy… and I want straps (which can be easily accomplished) but.. I dunno. It just doesn’t seem right. I LOVE the bottom, but I don’t know if it’s “too” bulky, you know what I mean?:

  • Again.. I don’t know. This one seems a little less bulky, and I like the design. I COULD wear red as the band and add straps and awesome looking buttons to the back:

  • And these ones look like plain ol’ lingerie of some kind. Actually, they ARE! I just found that out, LOL. So this one is totally out – but I wanted to share it for some reason anyways:

  • I’m looking  at Pattern C here – although I wouldn’t want a halter top. Totally fixable:

  • Hm… Simple! But too simple? I hate the weird shawl things, so ignore those. I’m looking at the top middle one:

  • I enjoy the layering on this one. Layering looks awesome! But, I want a different type of layering, and without weird sleeve things, and a little bulkier:

Suggestions? Anyone? Got a wedding dress pattern website for me? I can’t seem to find pattern sites that aren’t just full of spam besides McCall’s, Vogue, and Simplicity. I want more options! please… :)

Well.. that’s my rant of the moment. I really want to just find one today, order it, and start on it.

I will figure out what attributes I like best on each style, and totally combine them to configure the perfect dress. Wish me luck!

I also want to make all of my bridesmaid dresses – so I gotta find a pattern for that too. I’m thinking about having everyone take a vote! oh yeah! mmk. back to the search!

Paper: Printable Projects, Free Clip Art, and What Can I Do With It?

Paper is awesome. No seriously. You can do anything with paper. I mean.. it may not hold as well as metal or anything like that, but it’s still possible. That was such a lame opening. I am so sorry. I’m not so good at openings, eh?

Um.. well, here are some fun paper links that I’ve collected.Whether you’ve got fancy schmancy card stock, old magazines, old books, scraps, construction paper, newspaper, or you name it, there’s so much you can do!

If you haven’t seen it already, please check out my other posts: Books No One Wants: What Can I Do With Them? Blank Notebooks, What Can I Do With Them? and Paper Bags: What Can I Do With Them? because those, of course, involve paper. Of course, there are misc. paper items involved in other posts, so if you’re really hardcore, you can just search for the term ‘paper’ and find a bunch o’ other stuff!

As I find more links and tutorials, I just add them to this post. Really, none of my posts are complete. I’m ALWAYS adding when I find new links if they fit under the post’s subject! Enjoi!
